How we give back

We encourage a culture of giving back. Making a difference and achieving our goal comes through programs designed with a purpose to improve our communities.

FIS Foundation

The FIS Foundation donates more than $1 million to over 75 organizations throughout the United States. The foundation seeks to support causes focused on providing access to the financial ecosystem, financial literacy, STEM education and other giving areas – including children’s services, community development, health and human services, and the environment.

Employee Volunteering and Fundraising

Our employees are encouraged to give back by volunteering independently through paid time off and on their own, averaging 20,000 volunteer hours a year. Our colleagues also raise thousands of dollars every year for the charities they passionately support.

FIS Cares

FIS Cares is a colleague-funded giving program designed to help our employees in times of need. It provides temporary and immediate assistance through grants to be used for essential living expenses. Since the program’s inception in 2013, employees have donated over $3 million.

Disaster Aid

When disasters strike, like earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding, or a global health crisis, the company and our employees answer the call for help with monetary donations, supplies and volunteer hours.

FIS Supports

Access to finance

Project Prosper
FIS St. Petersburg provided charitable support for Project Prosper, which focuses on providing financial education programs tailored to the unique needs of adult refugees and immigrants in the Tampa Bay community.

STEM Education

Cybersecurity classroom
Through a collaborative effort with The Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, FIS created a high-tech cybersecurity classroom at KIPP Bold City High School where students can complete a two-year program for cybersecurity curriculum.

Financial Literacy

Junior Achievement
JA has been an integral part of our efforts to champion financial literacy through grade specific programs. This includes JA Stock Market Challenge where high school students are introduced to the benefits and challenges of investing in the stock market.

Education

Seva Sahyog Foundation
FIS sponsored the "Knowledge on Wheels Van," a mobile science lab with state-of-the-art science materials. A traveling mini laboratory that benefits approximately 10-12 schools and around 5,000 students each academic year with hands-on learning opportunities.

Community Development

Habitat for Humanity
FIS volunteers in Milwaukee worked for two days under the guidance of Habitat team leaders and alongside other volunteers to rough out the drywall of the three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. Habitat for Humanity aids families in new construction and enhancing existing homes.

Health & Human Services

Philippine Red Cross
FIS partnered with the National Blood Service of the Philippine National Red Cross to host their first blood donation drive. Through the event, over 50 FIS colleagues successfully donated their blood, and an additional 25 team members helped facilitate the successful event.

Environment

Guardianes del bosque y rio de Nexpayantla Amecamenca
FIS colleagues in Mexico partnered with Guardianes in a reforestation effort in the state of Puebla, Mexico, which has suffered from clandestine logging and fires. The team planted more than 50 pine trees and donated to help grow more trees, support forest monitoring and aid in surveillance efforts.
